Sea views, log burners and a few minutes walk to the beach

Our local beach HUNMANBY GAP voted in the top 20 beaches in Europe in 2021!

Bella Vista is in a quiet residential area of HUNMANBY GAP with sea views from the kitchen, lounge and conservatory. It is an ideal base for walking, cycling, bird watching and visiting Filey, Scarborough and Whitby.

Just a short stroll and you are on the beach.  You will find a small cafe (with fabulous cakes) that welcomes dogs and a fantastic large sandy 9 mile beach!

The house is a recently re-furbished centrally heated dormer bungalow with a fully equipped modern kitchen, dining and seating area with log burner, a twin bedroom on the first floor with ensuite and a king size bedroom on the ground floor with a family bathroom.

Bella Vista certainly lives up to its name with wonderful sea views and is accessed by a private road. To the rear of the property there's a lounge with log burner and a large conservatory which leads onto a well-kept enclosed garden where you can sit and enjoy the view.

Lovely article in the Guardian about the local beaches

A few minutes drive takes you into HUNMANBY for the Co-op supermarket, post office, bakery, butchers, pubs and fish and chips.

Nearby FILEY is a small traditional seaside town, home to an award-winning museum and a nature reserve that is a haven for wild birds. The town is situated at the eastern end of The Cleveland Way, a long- distance footpath that skirts the Yorkshire Moors and has many beautiful walks with stunning views to offer.

The beach is lined with a historical promenade from where the beauty of the dramatic Filey Brigg can be seen.

North Yorkshire Heritage Coast

Travelling north from Filey are the resorts of Scarborough and Whitby. Scarborough is situated at the southern end of the North Yorkshire Heritage Coast and together with Filey offers beautiful beaches, coastal walks and a variety of entertainment. Scarborough is a town of two halves, with South Bay full of amusement arcades, fish and chip shops and donkey rides, whilst the more genteel North Bay is home to several parks and grand Victorian buildings. Scarborough has the brilliant Stephen Joseph Theatre, home to most of the world premiere plays of Sir Alan Ayckbourn. There is also the largest open air theatre in Europe which has some excellent shows throughout the year.

The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton is just along the clifftops where you will see thousands of migrating seabirds and the very popular puffins.

Nestled in the valley at the mouth of the Esk River, Whitby is a great place to visit . . .

The accommodation is first class and the view is to die for. Location is good just a short drive to shops etc. The garden is lovely to sit out in and especially for your pets.

The owner is friendly and very helpful. All I can say is that I would stay here again and again. Well worth it and highly recommended.
